Marriage and Family Therapist
Integrative Couples Therapy, based in Encinitas, California, is seeking a Licensed or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and experienced in couples therapy. This is the perfect position for a therapist wanting to work in a private pay/private practice setting without running their own business. This is a W2 office-based position in Encinitas, California.
We are seeking therapists that:
Have a passion for couples therapy AND a well defined focus in one of the following areas: sex therapy, coparenting, seperation/divorce, perinatal mental health, parenting support, and trauma.
Thrive with autonomy and independence and value collegial support.
Seek consultation and are dedicated to developing their therapeutic skills.
Are highly organized with strong time management skills.
Are available to see clients in person at our Encinitas office when couples are available (generally afternoons and evenings).

Minimum Requirements:
Masters Degree in Couple and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related program of study.
Current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Able to work at our Encinitas office at least 3 days per week including afternoons/evenings.
Professional clinical training in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Experience with couples therapy; conducted ongoing couples therapy with at least two couples over the last year.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience and/or training in one or more of the following areas: sex therapy, coparenting, seperation/divorce, perinatal mental health, parenting support, and trauma.
Experience running groups and workshops.
Duties:
Build a private practice caseload with a goal of completing 15 or more therapy sessions each week. Please note that we are a private pay practice and it may take 6 months to build to a caseload of 15 or more weekly sessions.
Stay up to date on all clinical documentation so that it is completed within 24 hours of appointments.
Provide the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and care with your clients and ICT team.
Respond to clients and internal communications promptly, and by the end of each work day.
Attend meetings as assigned.
Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines of the Marriage and Family Therapy profession, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Manage and maintain confidential client information and adhere to HIPAA policies.
Seek consultation as needed.
